会议背景介绍：

Design management is the convergence of knowledge of design and management. It covers not only the practicality of design or the design process, but also business strategy and innovation. Today, design management is a driving force of business innovation via the practice of design-thinking. 

“2013 Tsinghua International Design Management Symposium, Shenzhen” (DMS2013) will be held on 1-2 December 2013 in Shenzhen, China. This is the third event after the symposium series has become biennial, following its successfully holding in year 2009 and 2011. The main theme for DMS2013 is “Design-Driven Business Innovation”.

 

征文范围及要求：

The aim of this Symposium is to provide a forum for the participants to present and to discuss their experimental, theoretical and computational outcome of investigations in the highly integrated area of innovation and design management. DMS 2013 will cover the latest advancement of both research and practice, so that the challenge of future research will be addressed. From the perspective of Design-Driven Business Innovation, relationships among the various disciplines of businesses will be fully explored. Suggested topics include but are not limited to:

1. Design Management, Innovation, and Market Exploitation

2. User Study, Design Thinking and Design Innovation

3. Brand, Design Tactic and Product management

4. Design and Business Innovation Strategies www.dolcn.com

5. Service, System Designs and Business Model

6. Intellectual Property and Design Management Education

 

Topics highlighting interdisciplinary study and innovative design-thinking are especially encouraged.

 

CALL FOR TUTORIALS/WORKSHOPS

Proposals for half/full day tutorials/workshops are solicited based on the topics listed above or others related to issues and opportunities for the future of industrial design and design management development.

 

CALL FOR PANELS

Proposals are solicited for technology/business application panels in the above areas or others related to business and policy-related issues and opportunities for the industrial design and design management fields.
